A tapered steel punch on a beech handle, sized to the kit’s twist caps. Punch each branch hole while the clay is still soft and the bulbs go in without a fight after firing. Clay shrinks in the kiln, so test one hole at bisque before you commit a whole batch.
This tool is for greenware only. Once a piece is fired, switch to a diamond edged bit. A standard bit will not survive fired ceramic.
