Four pieces: the 125 Smart LED String, 125 clear bulbs, a clear star topper, and the 24-key remote. Every LED holds its own color, so several colors run at once. The LED makes the color, so the bulbs are clear only, and they stay cool to the touch.
You will just need a USB power cube or power bank for the light string and one CR2025 battery for the remote.
20 dynamic effects, 5 fixed scene modes, automatic scene cycling, adjustable speed, and forward or backward direction.
Music reactive lighting with adjustable sensitivity, plus two music modes on the remote.
Brightness is set for the whole tree, stepped up and down with the sun keys. Individual bulbs take their own color, not their own brightness.
Fits trees you punch or drill yourself, finished trees with twist in bulb holes, and trees with extensions.
Do not cut the string shorter. It is one circuit and cutting it breaks the circuit. For a really large tree, run a second kit alongside the first.

Punch tool, cut to the twist cap
A tapered steel punch on a beech handle, sized to the kit’s twist caps. Punch each branch hole while the clay is still soft and the bulbs go in without a fight after firing. Clay shrinks in the kiln, so test one hole at bisque before you commit a whole batch.
This tool is for greenware only. Once a piece is fired, switch to a diamond edged bit. A standard bit will not survive fired ceramic.
Spare remote, 24 keys
The same 24 key IR remote that ships in the kit, button by button manual override alongside the app. Red, green, blue and white, brightness stepped up and down, effect speed and direction, two music modes, 1 hour and 4 hour timers, and the preset scene modes. Useful when the phone is across the room or when a second person is running the lights at a show.

A lot of people find us searching for “the little plastic things that go in ceramic tree holes.” You are in the right place. Here is the plain English version, and where this kit fits.
The little plastic pieces have a lot of names: twist lights, light pegs, pin lights, plugs, inserts, caps, or just the bulbs. Same part, different word depending on who taught you.
They sit in the drilled or punched holes on a ceramic Christmas tree. On many older trees they twist onto a bulb base lit from inside; on newer, handmade and custom trees they sit on a light string.
You may also know them as pottery Christmas tree lights, ceramic tree replacement bulbs, or grandma’s tree lights. Vintage, bisque, greenware, resin and handmade trees all use some version of them.
They come in different sizes, and the hole in your tree decides which size fits. Measure a hole before you buy anything, including this kit.
Traditional replacement bulbs, and how Magic Light Kit is different
A traditional replacement pack is a bag of colored plastic bulbs. Each one is a fixed color and they are lit by a single bulb inside the tree. If yours are missing, yellowed or broken, that simple like for like refill is what most people need, and it is the cheapest fix. Magic Light Kit is a modern LED alternative, not an ordinary replacement bulb package. Instead of one bulb glowing through colored plastic, 125 individually addressable LEDs run up the tree on a single string and every LED holds its own color. That is why the caps are clear: the LED makes the color, not the plastic. You get color changing and RGB lighting, 20 dynamic effects, music reactive modes, a 24 key remote, and Bluetooth app control with no account. The LEDs stay cool to the touch. It is not a universal fit and we will not pretend otherwise. It is made for trees you punch or drill yourself, finished trees with twist in bulb holes, and trees with extensions. Ceramic, resin, vintage, handmade and custom trees vary a lot, so check your hole size first and message us if you are not sure. Nothing about it is Christmas only.
